TD Bank, this should open peoples eyes
TD Bank was merely merging Commerce with TD Bank, a million companies have done this before, right? Simple, right? well looking through their history you will see that TD bank doesn’t seem to employ the brightest IT department.
Lets take a walk back in time…..
Bank error delays 50,000 Ontario social assistance payments

It isn't only Bank of Montreal customers who've been having trouble this week. Yesterday 50,000 Ontario social assistance (welfare) recipients who receive this payment by direct deposit to their Toronto-Dominion (TD) Bank accounts ... didn't. This was the result of an error the day before. The Royal Bank of Canada actually deals with the provincial government on this, and they had prepared as usual a file of 50,000 deposits to transmit to the TD Bank at 4:30 pm the day before. However, this time the date codes on the file were wrong. Someone at the Royal Bank soon noticed the error and called the TD Bank to notify them to expect a corrected file. This was transmitted, still in good time to be processed overnight as usual, but according to today's Toronto Star, "a technician forgot to manually let the computer know that a new file was in place." The victims, of course, were precisely those people least able to cope with even a 24-hour delay in payment. They were basically thrown on the mercy of their individual branch staff, who might, or might not, issue emergency advances or provide overdraft protection. The TD Bank is the fifth-largest in Canada; the Royal Bank is the largest. --Mark Brader <msb@sq.com>

TD Banknorth on Thursday confirmed that a technical issue had prevented some direct deposit payments from being made at the time they were expected.
hmmm see a trend?
So then I google TD Bank problems, and wow was I surprised, and their not all different issues, there were a lot of the same issues all over. Means to me they aren’t fixing anything.
Commerce bank which was bought out by TD Bank and they bought the rights as well to the catch phrase *Most Convenient Bank*
Well, seems a lot more has changed then just their lackof IT profficientcies, if you have an account like mine, that used to have a small interest rate, it was wiped out with the merger,I have a basic checking. With Commerce I had no fees at all for maintaining a certain balance, I now have been hit with a 35 dollar fee for not maintaining a balance.
this is crazy, also the bounced check fee has upped from 25 dollars to 35. Customer service has gone to shit.
a few years ago, right before Easter, I was having issues with a transaction, the bank realized(at that time it was Commerce) and they plused my account 700 dollars. Sent me a letter of apology, and all I wanted was the bounced check fee reversed and it paid. They were so embarrassed by their mistake, I got 700 dollars out of it. Now I’m not even close to being rich, but they treated me like I was Trump, minus the funky hair.
My google search left me more then disapointed. I am still waiting for my money, the school told me this morning to bring my kids over, all of them and myself and they would feed us as I have NO money at all.
I stopped direct deposit last night, and as soon as my money that is missing appears, I will be closing my account.
I may be going to a credit union, OR I may cut banks all together.
Frankly right now, I’m stressed, I’m hungry and Im more pissed off then you can know.
