I sat down in my hammock, and loaded the game with all the anticipation of a kid on Christmas, having seen the clips pre-beta, it was all I could do to run to Game Stop and pre-order my copy, giving me the relevant golden ticket.

There was a lot to download, 2 hours worth of download. I wasn’t deterred. When it finally completed downloading, I was able to choose which PMC I wanted to be, I chose Raven. You also have the choice of being Valor or S.V.E.R, each giving their own unique skills and weaponry.

The game menu is very easily navigated and would be so even for a beginner.  So I decided to man my character and go all in.

Maps. Holy shit their big. 256 players in one game on one map, think about that. There are 4 different squads, depending on what your squad objectives are, is dependant on whether your defending or attacking. If your attacking you have to plant C4 at bunkers such as a.a.a’s (anti air artillery) If your defending you have to obviously defend those bunkers from being blown up.

You are able to communicate with your 8 squad members, and the squad leader can communicate with other squad leaders. The nice aspect about this game is you don’t need a headset as long as you can follow directions as the squad leader sets the objectives on what to attack and/or what to defend and the whole squad can see this.

The weaponry use is better then any game of this type I have played. Zipper Interactive whom also made the original Socom serious (not the recent Socom by Slant 6), have really outdone themselves with the detailed explosions and gun play, I could almost feel the spray of bloodshed.

Game play is phenomenal, and that is even an understatement. The only downfall right now is that it is beta and only allows you certain times to play, basically  8 hours a day total, two four hour sessions. When this is released on January 26, 2010 it will definitely be an all night session.

WARNING: This game is not intended for people in serious relationships, people with bedtimes, people who like fresh air and the outside world. IF you don’t have any of those, then this game is for you.

Need to comment Rob last night on PS3, he is so impatient with people lol now all I heard was Robs side, but it was so funny I had to repost it

Rob to team mate: Get him
    Silence
Rob to team mate: KILL HIM
    Silence
Rob to team mate: Dude, he isnt even defusing it, he is standing there kill him before he defuses
    Silence
Rob to team mate: FUCKING KILL HIM
Rob to team mate in very mellow dispapointed tone: you have got to be kidding me

Then I hear the music that let me know Robs teammate did not difuse what it was he was supposed to be difusing and they lost lol

Awsome F%#%ing game. 256 players. Kickass objectives. Who could resist the intense gameplay and crisp graphics.
